Connect Logling to Claude Code
You can connect your Logling account to Claude Code through Logling’s private Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Once connected, Claude Code can inspect your available schemas, find and read your entries, and create new entries from a conversation.
For configuration details shared by other MCP clients, see Use Logling with an MCP client.
Before you start
Install a current version of Claude Code and sign in to your Logling account. Claude Code connects to Logling’s remote HTTP server and completes OAuth in your browser; you do not need to create a personal OAuth application or provide a client secret.
Add Logling
Run this command in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http logling https://mcp.logling.com/mcp This adds a server named logling. Check that Claude Code saved the connection:
claude mcp list If the status says that Logling needs authentication, open Claude Code and use /mcp to select Logling and complete sign-in. Your browser opens a Logling authorization page; sign in there, review the requested access, and approve it.
Do not add an Authorization header, client ID, client secret, or an API key to the command. Claude Code uses Logling’s supported client-metadata profile and securely manages the OAuth connection.
Start using Logling
Ask Claude Code which Logling schemas it can use before asking it to create structured data. It should retrieve the schema first and ask for missing required fields instead of guessing them.
For example:
What Logling schemas can I use? Find my Logling entries tagged "training" from the past month. Create a Logling entry for today's workout after you have checked the available schema and confirmed any missing details. Claude Code can find and read your entries and create new schema-valid entries. It cannot update or delete entries.
Manage access
To remove the connection from Claude Code, run:
claude mcp remove logling To immediately invalidate the Logling authorization, sign in to Logling, open Settings, then remove Claude Code from Connected applications.
If Claude Code cannot connect, confirm that it is configured as a remote HTTP MCP server with the exact URL https://mcp.logling.com/mcp. Do not switch to SSE or a local stdio configuration.
